An outdoor photo exhibition has opened at BudaPart

This year’s BudaPart Photo Contest invited photography enthusiasts to showcase the unique world of this neighborhood through their own eyes. This constantly evolving, inspiring urban space - where architecture, nature, and human presence come together as one - provided inspiration to creators through two creative themes this time. In the “Geometric Variations” category, the focus was on shapes, patterns, reflections, and rhythms, while the “Cloud Dancer” category encouraged entrants to capture a light, minimalist atmosphere and mood.

Once again this year, the competition received numerous creative and high-quality entries that showcase the architectural character, natural environment, and ever-changing atmosphere of BudaPart from a new perspective.

Based on the jury’s decision and the results of the public vote, a shortlist of 30 images has been compiled, which can now be viewed as part of a special outdoor exhibition at BudaPart. The photos on display are mounted on the railings along the BudaPart promenade, so anyone can admire them while taking a walk.

The 30 works showcase the neighborhood’s architectural character, its natural beauty, and the diverse perspectives through which the photographers captured the atmosphere of BudaPart.

The competition's panel of judges selected three winners from among the entries received.

1st place: Zoltán Bődi

2nd place: Melinda Matetits

3rd place: József Molnár

This year, in a departure from tradition, special awards were also presented to artists whose works, while not selected for the exhibition, stood out from the field thanks to their creativity and unique perspective.

Krisztina Erdős, Réka Bodó, and Richárd Lipták received special awards.

The prizes were sponsored by the Radisson Hotel Budapest, BudaPart, the Félegyházi Family Bakery, and Sándor Bodogán Photography, to whom we would like to express our gratitude.

Congratulations to all the award winners and exhibiting photographers, and thank you to all the entrants and voters for contributing to the success of the 2026 BudaPart Photo Contest. The exhibition will be open to the public in the coming months, so it’s worth taking a stroll along BudaPart to see the artwork.
